We always use freelancers for this purpose.

The reason is very simple:  each project is completely different and we want to make sure that we select the right man or woman for your project.

A more logical question is actually why you would not work with us!

If you like risks and unexpected price changes, half-baked arrangements or productions where the producer is also the cameraman, director and editor, then you had better work with someone else.

But if you opt for clear price agreements, ‘outside-the-box’ solutions and specialists at all levels, then there is only one logical choice:  Motionmakers.

Here we can be very brief:  What is confidential, remains confidential.

Very many companies and organisations ask whether we can organise media training courses or film confidential information for a very limited public.

Some examples?  Sorry, it’s confidential!

Very simple:  whoever paid for them.  You, in other words!

We have an archive full of all sorts of tapes, but we do not have any rights to use those tapes.  If we want to use an image for a project, we have to obtain the prior consent of the original customer.

Each production is different, so the process often varies from project to project.  In general, we can outline it as follows:

  • Pre-production phase: We engage in an initial talk to sound out what precisely you want and/or need.  We then work out an initial creative proposal together with an offer, go over them together, and make such changes as required.  Once the concept and the budget have been determined, we start work on the scenario.  This is an important (if not the most important) step in the entire production process, as all subsequent steps are based on it.
  • Shooting phase:  Our team (the size of which depends on the project) shoots the necessary footage.  In theory, you don’t have to do anything for this.  Your project coordinator makes all the arrangements and makes sure that everyone is informed of what is expected of him or her.
  • Post-production:  once the shooting is completed, the editing work begins and our graphic department can get down to work.  Different scenes are inserted in the editing unit or via the handy FTP server.  The professional voice over is recorded only at the very last moment, and everything is mixed in our audio units.
  • You receive your film in the format you have chosen!

That is a complex question!  Nothing is so complicated in our line of business as music.

To be brief, there are three possibilities:

  • You wish to use popular music that you know from radio and television.  That is possible, but very expensive, and can take months before the composer’s or performer’s consent is obtained.
  • Illustration music is usually chosen, from a very extensive library of non-commercial music, the rights for which are collected by Sabam, at rather transparent prices which can change only depending on the use made (television, internally, web, etc.).
  • We also work together with composers who can compose a piece specially for your production.  The big advantage of this is that you become the owner of this music and can use the film where, when and for as long as you want.

Naturally, we guide you in this choice and weigh the pros and cons thoroughly each time.

We understand that you do not want to put all your eggs in one basket.  Certainly when you have never worked with us before, we find it completely normal that you want to ask different production houses for advice.

We ultimately work in a people business. It is extremely important for things to click between the production house and the customer!
